One of the first things customers ask when they visit our Watford showroom is how long it will take to get their new kitchen. The honest answer depends on the range you choose, your appliances and how much building work is involved, but here is a guide to each stage.
1. Design and quotation
Your project starts with a complimentary design appointment at our showroom (or a virtual design appointment if you can’t come in). We talk through how you use your kitchen and prepare a design and quote. We’ll refine the design with you until you’re completely happy before anything is ordered.
2. Manufacturing lead times
Every kitchen is built to order in Europe once your design is confirmed:
- Schüller and next125 (Germany): around 6–8 weeks from order to delivery.
- Arrital (Italy): around 6–8 weeks from order to delivery.
- Worktops: laminate worktops arrive with the kitchen; stone, quartz and ceramic worktops are templated once the units are fitted, and we’ll confirm the timing for your chosen material when you order.
3. Appliances
We work with several suppliers for brands such as Neff and Bosch, some holding warehouse stock, so we can usually source the models you want in time for your installation. We’ll confirm appliance lead times when you place your order.
4. Installation
Our experienced fitting team typically installs a kitchen in about a week, depending on its size and any building, electrical or plumbing work. We agree the timings with you in advance so you know when your kitchen will be out of action.
So how long does it take overall?
Once your design is signed off, most kitchens are delivered within 6–8 weeks and fitted in about a week after that, so you can typically expect your new kitchen around 7–9 weeks after ordering (stone worktops are fitted shortly after the units). If you are working to a deadline, such as a house move, building work or Christmas, tell us at your first appointment and we will plan your order around it.
